October is Learning Disabilities Awareness Month. It is a time when people pay special attention to children and adults with learning disabilities.
On October 25th at 1pm, CHURCHILL ACADEMY school in Dartmouth along with the LEARNING CENTRE FOR CHILDREN and Dr. Pure invite you to join us for a 5km walk / run from Sullivan’s Pond and around Lake Banook to create awareness for learning disabilities.
CHURCHILL ACADEMY is a private school located in Dartmouth and it provides specialized learning opportunities for children and youth with diverse learning challenges. The LEARNING CENTRE FOR CHILDREN offers tutoring to children who have dyslexia. It is sponsored by the Scottish Rite Charitable Foundation of Canada, which allows children and youth to receive services at no cost to their families.
Together we can create awareness and advocacy. Please bring your families and join us if you can.
The Walk/Run starts at Churchill Academy at 5 Crichton Avenue at 1pm on October 25.
Thanks!
