Jacqueline Meisner

Jackie Meisner is a registered psychologist (Candidate Register) who completed her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology degree at Acadia University. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and families in both research and clinical settings.

Jackie provides comprehensive assessment and intervention services for a variety of psychological concerns in the areas of mental health, learning and attention, and behaviour regulation. She has over eight years of assessment experience and she is passionate about understanding each client, their individual strengths and challenges, and making recommendations of support in their best interest. Jackie works collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals to provide effective support for clients.

In her therapy work, Jackie focuses on establishing a strong therapeutic relationship and believes the best approach is one that is tailored to the individual needs of her client. She works with children and parents to set goals and provide evidenced based treatment plans. She incorporates Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) into her work with clients.

Jackie is committed to evidenced based practice and continuing education opportunities by staying up to date on research, attending workshops, and consulting with other psychologists.

Jackie has a sweet goldendoodle dog, Maverick who you will often see in the office. He is very friendly and he would love for you to say hello when you see him!
