Jacqueline (Jackie) Meisner is a Registered Psychologist who completed her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology degree at Acadia University.
Jackie’s primary role is to provide comprehensive assessment and intervention services for a variety of psychological concerns in the areas of mental health, learning and attention, and behaviour regulation. She is passionate about understanding each client, their individual strengths and challenges, and making recommendations of support in their best interest. Jackie works collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals to provide effective support for clients.
In her therapy work, Jackie focuses on establishing a strong therapeutic relationship and believes the best approach is one that is tailored to the individual needs of her client. She works with children, adolescents and parents to set goals and provide evidenced based treatment plans. She incorporates Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) into her work with clients.
Jackie is committed to evidenced based practice and continuing education opportunities by staying up to date on research, attending workshops, and consulting with other psychologists.
You will often see Jackie’s goldendoodle dog, Maverick, in the office. He is very friendly, and he would love for you to say hello when you see him!
