Jennifer Goguen, Occupational Therapist (OT)
Jennifer joined our team in June 2019 in the role of Occupational Therapist (OT). As an OT, Jennifer will have a dual role and provide direct clinical services to patients as well as supervise ABA therapists working with children presenting with diverse developmental challenges. Her goal is to help children and youth reach their full potential while providing support and advice to caregivers.
Jennifer graduated from the University of New Brunswick in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Major in Psychology. After a few years of working, she moved to Alberta to return to school and graduated in 2003 with her OT degree from the University of Alberta. Jennifer worked in a variety of settings while living in Alberta, including the hospital, home care/community, and schools.
Jennifer is a mother of two young busy boys and resides in Hammonds Plains with her family. As an OT, she focuses on the goals of the individual and the family, providing appropriate assessments with an individualized intervention plan. She will visit homes, schools, daycares and clinical settings to help adapt and modify the environment to meet her clients needs, and to help increase their function.
Jennifer has experience in a variety of areas, including fine motor skills, sensory processing and regulation, attention issues and Primitive Reflexes. She loves coaching and consulting with the families to work on individualized goals. Collaborating with other professionals is important in providing appropriate intervention to her families.
The team at Dr. Kiran Pure and Associates is very happy to have Jennifer join us and offer this level of clinical care.
